Zara Puts Home Unit Online

Madrid, Spain, Spanish retail giant Inditex is set to launch online sales in its Zara home division, but a spokeswoman said the sale of its clothes on the Internet would not necessarily follow, according to a Reuters report.

Inditex announced on Wednesday it would begin selling Zara Home products online in 13 European countries next month. However, Zara home division's move into the virtual world didn't mean "that the rest of the group is going to do this kind of thing," the spokeswoman said.

The company has been slow to join the Internet revolution shaking up the retail industry in the United States and Europe, but analysts believe it could add substantial sales if it moves online with its clothes, the report said.
