Toysrus.com looks to ease toy shopping

WAYNE, N.J. Toysrus.com announced that it has introduced new offerings to help making toy buying more convenient for online shoppers while providing assistance to on-the-go deal seekers.

"Each Christmas, millions of toy buyers log on to Toysrus.com ,not only to shop our broad assortment of toys and find in-demand products, but also to conduct research on products and services available in our stores," said Michael Scharff, VP, general manager global e-commerce for Toys"R"Us. "We are pleased to introduce new offerings to make it more convenient than ever to shop with us and be among the first to know about our great deals. The addition of mobile shopping provides a seamless online and in-store shopping experience for all of our customers."

Beginning this weekend, Toysrus.com will launch mobile shopping, providing holiday shoppers access to the world's largest online toy store from any Web-enabled device, whether they are making a purchase or in need of shopping assistance. Customers can shop the new mobile-enabled Toysrus.com or through dedicated apps for Blackberry or iPhone. Following are some of the features now available for mobile users:

 

Toys"R"Us customers can sign up to receive emails about weekly and daily in-store and online sales and promotions, as well as unadvertised deals as they are announced.

 

And, fans of the official Toys"R"Us Facebook fan page at Facebook.com/Toysrus can obtain status updates on weekly and daily deals, special promotions, coupon offers and even find out about exclusive deals just for members. Facebook fans also often receive exclusive previews of some of the biggest sales at Toys"R"Us, including Black Friday specials, and are alerted when hard-to-find products become available on the site. Twitter, RSS feeds and mobile alerts on social networking sites also provide instant alerts about Toysrus.com deals.
