TGI Fridays offers social burger 'jump balls'


Carrollton, Texas – The range of social media keeps expanding, and TGI Fridays is now including burgers. The casual dining chain has launched “Buy A Burger, Give A Burger,” a new promotion that allows customers to let their friends compete for free burgers through social media.

Customers can buy a burger at TGI Fridays and enter the code on the receipt at, and get a free burger to toss out on their social networks, or to email to friends. The first person to snag it can redeem the free burger at any Fridays location. It’s called Jump Burger, like a “burger jump ball.”

The chain is also encouraging customers to share their Jump Burger experiences on its Twitter account using the hashtag #JumpBurger.
