Target challenges clubs with 'Great Save' event
MINNEAPOLIS Target has launched its "Great Save" event, which will run through Feb. 21.
In announcing the event in a press release, Target went head-to-head with the warehouse clubs, reminding customers that it offers a variety of the same items without the need for membership fees or ID cards.
To offer the warehouse-club experience, Target is offering a large number of bulk-packaged items. In addition, the retailer is offering designer apparel and home goods brands not normally found in its stores. Target is showcasing all products offered through The Great Save in one central location of the store, the company reported.
“The Great Save is a way for Target to offer our guests exceptional deals on everyday essentials—just in time for their post-holiday stock-up—and a treasure-hunt experience with a variety of exciting designer brands,” said Kathee Tesija, EVP merchandising, Target. “This event is a fresh, innovative approach to meeting our guests’ evolving needs and providing them with the opportunity to save even more at Target.”
