9/26/2013

Elemica, a leading supply chain operating network provider for the process industries, has promoted Ed Rusch to VP of corporate marketing.

He will be charged with further shaping and delivering Elemica's overall marketing strategy on a global basis, leading a talented team with responsibility over integrated marketing campaigns, content management, industry analyst relations, social media strategy, PR and customer conferences. Rusch recently orchestrated the introduction of Elemica's game-changing supply chain operating network, which incorporated an integrated campaign touching all marketing channels, from shaping strategic marketing messages to new corporate branding.

"Ed's creativity and strategic thinking, combined with his ability to lead and execute, brings significant value to Elemica and positions us as a clear market leader," said John Blyzinskyj, CEO of Elemica. "His keen marketing acumen was demonstrated earlier this year during the marketing launch of our entirely new QuickLink Network platform. In addition to the launch, Ed's been instrumental in building our brand and our new corporate identity, while also increasing Elemica's presence among the media and industry analysts, growing our social media engagement, coordinating world-class customer conferences, and elevating our vision and mission statements. I'm eager to see what he has in store for the company and our customers."

"It is an exciting time for our company and for my team," said Rusch. "As we articulate Elemica's complex technology solutions into clear value propositions, we are creating more intimate engagement with our target audiences and ultimately contributing to both their and our success. We are also working diligently on several upcoming major product introductions which will positively disrupt the market and its understanding of Elemica."

Rusch came to Elemica in the RubberNetwork merger, where he served as manager, marketing and sales operations. Prior to Elemica, he worked in various marketing and sales management positions for companies like Angelica Corporation and XO Communications. He graduated from John Carroll University with a B.A. in communications.

Elemica's supply chain operating network is designed to give clients greater control over their global supply chains. The company processes nearly $200 billion in annual transactions across more than 5,000 process industry trading partners. Elemica's global operations are headquartered outside Philadelphia and include offices in Amsterdam, Atlanta, Frankfurt, London, Seoul, Singapore and Tokyo. Clients include BASF, BP, Continental, The Dow Chemical Company, DuPont, The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, LANXESS, Michelin, Rhodia, Shell, Sumitomo Chemical and Yokohama.
