The Sports Authority is teaming up with Under Armour and MapMyFitness on a new fitness rewards program.
The retailer says rewards members soon will be able to earn retail rewards for completing activities within the MapMyFitness app.
“We are excited to announce this first-of-its-kind partnership with Under Armour that directly links workout activity to The League by Sports Authority loyalty rewards,” said Ron Stoupa, executive VP and chief marketing officer for Sports Authority. “It is a win-win for users to be able to earn The League points and rewards simply by being active. At Sports Authority, we believe in the good of sport and are proud to reward customers who track their activity through MapMyFitness.”
The first challenge, “Back on Track,” kicks off today on the MapMyFitness app, available on the App Store and Google Play. When members log three workouts or 10 miles a week, they have a chance to win a $500 Sports Authority gift card.
“This loyalty program showcases the capabilities of the MapMyFitness platform, providing our growing community with the opportunity to earn rewards through an active lifestyle,” said Warren Kay, VP of advertising at Under Armour.
