Dollar General’s nearly 13,000 stores will be closed on Christmas Day, but the retailer is offering an enticing online discount in hopes of making a digital connection with shoppers.



On Dec. 25, Dollar General is offering a 15% discount off its entire online assortment to shoppers who use the promotional code CHRISTMAS15. The promotional effort follows a similar single day effort undertaken on Dec. 18 when the retailer offered free shipping on all orders with no minimum order value to those who used the promotional code FREESLEIGH15. Those discounts were in addition to a 25% discount off any purchase of $75 or more off qualifying toys.



"We are committed to helping customers stretch their budgets with exclusive online savings and in-store specials as we conclude the holiday season,” said Jim Thorpe, Dollar General’s executive vice president and chief merchandising officer.
