SC Johnson offers holiday HQ tours

12/11/2012

What better way to celebrate the holidays than a tour of a CPG company’s headquarter?

The SC Johnson company is proud of its corporate campus designed by legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright and is offering free tours it contends make for a great activity for families and guests visiting the company’s home town of Racine, WI.

"Our free tour programs provide visitors with an exciting and educational experience, giving everyone the opportunity to experience Frank Lloyd Wright’s renowned masterpieces and to learn about the unique history between the architect and SC Johnson," said Kelly M. Semrau, the company’s SVP of global corporate affairs, communication and sustainability.

The tours range in length from one to three and a half hours and are offered every Friday from now through April.

The newest addition to the campus is The SC Johnson Gallery: At Home with Frank Lloyd Wright. The Gallery features its debut exhibit on Wright's iconic Prairie-Style which showcases rarely-seen designs and artifacts that explore Wright's influence on families and the home. Housed in the Foster + Partners-designed Fortaleza Hall on SC Johnson's campus, Fortaleza Hall is also home to the Frank Lloyd Wright Research Library which features an eclectic collection of more than 800 items about Wright's influence in Southeastern Wisconsin. At the conclusion of all tours, visitors stop at The Lily Pad, a unique gift shop featuring exclusive SC Johnson memorabilia and Wright-inspired items.

SC Johnson is a $9 billion privately held, family owned company best known for brands such as Glade, Kiwi, Off!, Pledge, Raid, Scrubbing Bubbles, Shout, Windex and Ziploc.
