Save-A-Lot contest promotes home cooking

ST. LOUIS Save-A-Lot is holding a recipe contest to encourage families to prepare their own meals at home. The "fuel your family" contest, which runs through Feb. 28, invites Save-A-Lot shoppers to submit their recipes for the chance to win a year's supply of groceries.

Contestants must submit recipes that use products found at Save-A-Lot stores and entries need to include the "story behind the meal," a brief explanation of what inspired the meal solution.
