Report: Zara Owner May Launch New Accessories Chain

Madrid, Spain, Spanish fashion retailer Inditex SA, owner of the Zara retail chain, is working on the launch of a new retail concept focused on fashion accessories, according to a Dow Jones report.

"It's still just a project," a spokeswoman told the wire service. "No date has been set for its potential launch."

Local Spanish newspaper La Voz de Galicia earlier this week reported that the company plans to call the new chain "Uterque," a name it already owns.

The spokeswoman said that this name was under consideration, but that there were other possible names as well.
