Kohl's donates $25K for wildfire relief
MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. — Kohl’s Department Stores has donated $25,000 cash in response to the recent wildfire which caused widespread damage and evacuations in the state of Colorado. Kohl’s is making this donation to the American Red Cross which will deliver much-needed emergency assistance throughout the affected communities including those near Colorado Springs.
In addition to a financial contribution, Kohl’s is encouraging its associates to volunteer for recovery efforts through its Associates in Action volunteer program. In recognition of volunteer hours, Kohl’s will donate corporate grants to the nonprofit organizations being supported by Kohl’s associates.
“Our thoughts and sympathies are extended to the families and communities in Colorado impacted by the massive wildfire. Kohl’s wants these families to know that we are here in support during containment and recovery,” said Julie Gardner, Kohl’s EVP and chief marketing officer. “We are honored to be in a position to provide financial assistance as well as volunteer service to our valued customers, associates and area residents. While the wildfire has left a trail of destruction, we are confident in the resilience of these communities.”
