Kmart sponsoring Kenny Chesney film

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. Kmart announced that it is sponsoring country singer Kenny Chesney's new film "Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D."

The film premiered on April 17 in Las Vegas and features footage from Chesney's 2009 Sun City Carnival Tour.

"When you combine state-of-the-art movie technology and one of country’s most exciting performers, it’s the kind of entertainment event that’s going to make waves," said Karen Austin, president of home electronics for Sears Holdings. "In the next 10 to 15 years, 3D will be part of everything we do, whether it’s sports, concerts or gaming, and Kmart will be in the forefront of supporting this technology."

The limited engagement of seven shows will run in select theaters nationwide from April 21 to May 2.
