Kmart gets their ‘ghoul’ on

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. Kmart is offering an assortment of costumes for men, women, teens and kids, as well as party decorations for the Halloween season. Kmart has also enhanced the "Totally Ghoul" online experience with the debut of the "Costume Machine" and "Ghoul Me" tools.

Customers can browse "Totally Ghoul" for costumes and merchandise from Transformers, Wizards of Waverly Place, GI Joe, Harry Potter, Bakugan, Star Trek, Super Why, Barbie, Thumbelina, Bratz, Sesame Street and more. Couples will find such his-and-her costumes as Popeye and Olive Oyl, a Cave Couple and a Wicked fairy tale.

On Tuesday, Oct. 27, costumed "street teams" will model costumes in the streets in New York, Chicago and San Francisco, to show passerby's the holiday attire available at Kmart.

Within the "Totally Ghoul" shop, online customers can use the "Costume Machine" that helps choose a costume by age, gender and theme. A new addition to the Web Site is "Ghoul Me," where visitors can upload their own picture - or one of their friends - and have a virtual makeover. Once they're finished, it can be sent to friends or family with a digital greeting.

To coordinate the Halloween look at home, Kmart also offers porch kits, lighting, treat containers, novelties, candles, party supplies, indoor and outdoor decor in "Totally Ghoul" and Disney themes as well as traditional and humorous Halloween and harvest celebration themes.

Now through Oct. 21, Kmart is offering two free bags of fun-size candy to kick off the trick-or-treating when customers purchase $40 of Halloween costumes or Halloween and harvest decor.
