KFC launches 'penny-per-calorie' promo

Louisville, Ky. KFC is rolling out a new “penny-per-calorie” holiday promotion for its Kentucky Grilled Chicken combo meals.

The meals are now on sale at participating restaurants for $3.95. The meal contains 395 calories, according to the company.

In addition to the marketing campaign, KFC has launched an advertising component, comparing the calorie count of the grilled chicken meal to items at other fast-food chains.
