Social media is front and center at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores this holiday season with the retailer tapping into customers’ desire to share with the introduction of the Holiday Hub.

The focal point of the Jo-Ann Holiday Hub is customer-created projects that in a live social media feed located at share.joann.com. The Holiday Hub also features trend-forward ideas from some of the most popular bloggers in DIY as well as trend information and inspiration from Jo-Ann experts. The retailer is also partnering with the National Military Family Association for a campaign called #makeitgiveit.

“Jo-Ann customers love to share their creations, and they love to give back to causes they believe in,” said Nicole Long, manager of inspiration at Jo-Ann. “Share.joann.com and the #makeitgiveit partnership with the National Military Family Association give the Jo-Ann customer an opportunity to do both of those things this holiday season while encouraging each other through social media. We’re really looking forward to seeing what our customers create and share.”

To be featured on share.joann.com, customers can share their project on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and tag their posts with #makeitgiveit. Doing so gives them an opportunity to be featured on the Holiday Hub, while those who share their posts on Instagram using #makeitgiveit will be entered to win one of five $100 Jo-Ann gift cards.

The #Makeitgiveit campaign runs through December 24 and gives customers the opportunity to craft greeting cards to be delivered to military members and families through the NMFA’s network. The goal is to create more than 125,000 cards.
