It’s all aboard at Gander Mountain

Seasonal excitement at seven of Gander Mountain’s 154 stores is being driven by a train-themed merchandising initiative called the Holiday Express.



In a first-of-its-kind effort, seven stores in Florida, Minnesota, Missouri, New York and Virginia feature the large seasonal display filled with activities and an area where kids can have a free photo taken with Santa.



In addition, the Holiday Express includes interactive games and activities, giveaways, prizes and photo opportunities for families and their pets. Kids will have the chance to write post cards to Santa, use the Elves in Training table to spark their creativity, spin the wheel for a holiday prize, check their status on the Naughty or Nice Detector and test their aim as they defend Santa’s Workshop.



“Gander Mountain has been sharing the holiday spirit of family fun and giving for generations, so it is a natural fit for us to premiere the Holiday Express at select stores,” said Derek Siddons, executive vice president of operations, e-commerce and marketing for Gander Mountain. “We’ve created a unique spin on free holiday fun, mixing our passion for the outdoors with interactive games, photos and a chance to meet Santa.
