Gap, musician Matt White let Chicagoans voice their 'Vote'

8/20/2008

CHICAGO As part of its "Vote" initiative, Gap will allow Chicagoans to voice their passions with a customized free Gap "Vote for ___ " t-shirt on Friday, Aug. 22.

The in-store event will also feature an acoustic set by singer/songwriter Matt White, named one of Rolling Stone's "10 Artists to Watch." White is in the middle of a tour promoting his new single "Love" off of his debut release "Best Days."

"My friends at Gap have created this really simple shirt that lets you express what's important to you," said White. "Music is how I express myself so I wrote 'Vote for Love' on my shirt. I'm really interested to see all of the words and visual expressions the people of Chicago use to voice what they're passionate about."
