2/18/2010

Salisbury, N.C. Food Lion is lowering prices on thousands of essential items, from milk and canned goods to pet food.

Company executives estimate that shoppers could save up to 25% to 30% on their total grocery bills because of the new lower prices as well as the store’s MVP Card.

“In today’s economic environment, we know price, more than ever, matters to our customers,” said Cathy Green, president of the Food Lion family of banners.

Food Lion will advertise the new lower prices in-store as well as on its Web site. Food Lion customers can also participate in text programs for special offers and coupons.
