Fleet drivers can fuel up at Meijer gas stations
Thanks to an agreement between Meijer and Voyager network owner U.S. Bank, Fleet drivers can now use their Voyager network fuel cards at Meijer gas stations in the Midwest.
Cardholders presenting U.S. Bank Fleet Cards or those issued by any of the bank’s Voyager network partners can now make purchases at 189 Meijer fueling sites in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky.
“Meijer provides our 1.8 million cardholders with an outstanding new option,” said U.S. Bank payments sales and client relationship group leader Jeff Rankin. “Meijer’s conveniently located fuel centers are competitively priced and offer a variety of quality fuels, including diesel, E85 and kerosene. We are proud to add Meijer to our network and look forward to working with their team to service our shared clients.”
The Voyager network is the largest fleet-fueling and maintenance acceptance network in the United States, with more than 230,000 locations in 50 states and Puerto Rico. The network offers sophisticated purchase control, expense monitoring and data reporting that simplifies fleet expense management via its Fleet Commander Online tool.
“Meijer is always looking to expand the services we offer, and the acceptance of Voyager network fuel cards provides another option to our fleet customers,” said Michael Ross, VP of customer marketing and emerging technologies. “We welcome those customers to our stations, where they will have opportunities to take advantage of text alerts about changing fuel prices and other money-saving offers through mPerks.”
Meijer’s mPerks program offers members the ability to receive or redeem discounts at checkout when they enter their 10-digit mPerks number (their mobile phone numbers) and PIN, which they get at sign-up.
Most Meijer stations are located on-site of the retailer’s supercenters, which feature fresh produce and meat departments, pharmacies, general merchandise, electronics and garden centers.
U.S. Bank has a long-standing relationship with Meijer that dates back to 1995, and currently operates 44 branches in Meijer stores in Ohio, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky.
The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based retailer operates 199 supercenters and grocery stores throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky.
