EBay launches interactive art auction promo
San Jose, Calif. –- EBay is launching a collaboration with artist and illustrator Mario Wagner to create an interactive art installation in New York City. Titled Art For All, the installation celebrates the recent launch of EBay’s new live auctions experience, which makes a selection of art and collectibles from auction houses around the world available on EBay.
Wagner will use thousands of Instagram images, crowdsourced from people around the globe, to create an original work of art.
To participate, consumers around the world are invited to share a photo on Instagram of something that inspires them and include the hashtag #eBayArtForAll. From Nov. 7-9, approved photos tagged #eBayArtForAll will instantly print at the site of the live art installation, located in New York City’s Meatpacking District. Wagner will use the inspiring images to create an original work of art over the course of three days.
The interactive installation will be open to the public Nov. 7-9.
