Dollar Tree reports 9.2% comp-store sales increases in Q1
Chesapeake, Va. Dollar Tree announced Thursday that comp-store sales for the first quarter ended May 2, rose 9.2%. Total sales increased 14.2% to $1.20 billion, from $1.05 billion in the year-ago period.
“Sales were above plan throughout the quarter,” president and CEO Bob Sasser said. “Our seasonal performance was very strong from Valentine’s Day through Easter, with excellent sell-through.”
