Disney Store debuts exclusive tween lines

PASADENA, Calif. Starting Friday Disney Store locations nationwide will offer tweens an exclusive assortment of apparel, accessories and home merchandise based on the popular Disney Channel properties, Hannah Montana and High School Musical.

According to The Children's Place Retail Stores, which own the Disney Store, the tween promotion push will also include gifts with purchase, special deals and discounts on tween related items.

"Disney Store's tween collection allows kids to dress like they are friends with the characters from High School Musical and Hannah Montana,'' said Amy Hauk, senior vp and general merchandising manager of Disney Store. "It's exciting for Disney Store to offer tweens a shopping experience that extends their passion for these popular properties into exclusive merchandise. Our guests in this age group really identify with the characters.''

The High School Musical and Hannah Montana lines feature styles reflective of the two popular series. The High School Musical collection includes raglan tees and a tiered mini-skirt, inspired by popular dance movies such as Fame, and Flashdance, and is designed for girls ages 6 to 14. The Hannah Montana line, also designed for girls ages 6 to 14, has a more rock star feel and includes foil embellishments and rhinestones along with contrast stitching.
