Costco reports Jan. sales up 11%

ISSAQUAH, Wash. Costco today reported net sales of $5.11 billion for the month of January, an increase of 11% from $4.62 billion in the same four-week period last year.

The company reported that comparable-store sales for January increased 7%.

For the first 22 weeks of its reporting period ended Feb. 3, Costco reported net sales of $29.64 billion, an increase of 11% from $26.65 billion during the similar 22-week period last year.

Comparable-store sales for the 22-week period increased 8%, the company reported.
