Beauty.com leverages free gift to drive traffic to site

Beauty.com is offering a free gift as an incentive for shoppers to spend at least $100 on the site. The Heartbeat Bag, developed by the creative force behind New York fashion line, Honor, is a clutch filled with products.



The black cosmetics case is clad in white hearts and has white lining dotted with black hearts. Shoppers can store beauty products in the translucent pink windows. The inside and outside of the clutch are waterproof.



Each Heartbeat Bag comes filled with 12 prestige beauty samples in both deluxe sample and full sizes. The bag and its contents have an approximate combined retail value of more than $120.00.

Other incentives that the web store offers shoppers as incentive to keep coming back include 5% back on every purchase, free samples, 100% color match guarantee and a shared online shopping cart with Beauty.com's partner site, drugstore.com.



Beauty.com also offers skin care and hair care diagnostic tools, which provide product regimens tailored to the customer based on interactive surveys, as well as a free weekly Beauty Bulletin offering shoppers the latest tips, trends and promotions sent directly to their email by signing up on the site.
