Back-to-School begins now

Ongoing economic challenges and Target’s effort to convince customers its prices are as good as Walmart’s will make the upcoming back-to-school season even more competitive than normal. Target will be looking to exploit its advantage as the hipper, trendier brand through more aggressive use of social and online media and has big plans to further increase integration between online and brick-and-mortar stores. The company recently voted to reinvent its music, movies, books and video game offerings as part of a commitment to multichannel integration, and the reinvention is slated for August.
