  • Wet Seal looking for a new CFO

    Foothill Ranch, Calif.  -- The Wet Seal announced today that its CFO, Steve Benrubi, has resigned. He will remain with the company through Dec. 1 to assist with the transition. 

    The retailer said it will start the search for a new CFO.

    “I thank Steve for his service and loyal dedication to Wet Seal over the past nine years. Steve was an instrumental leader through many challenges and successes throughout his tenure,” said Wet Seal CEO Ed Thomas.

     

  • GameStop offers extra rewards in October ahead of holiday season

    As the holiday begins to creep closer, GameStop is looking to generate store traffic by unveiling a series of new loyalty incentives during October for PowerUp Rewards program members. The specialty retailer is also offering special financing for new PowerUp Rewards credit cardholders.

    In addition to accruing points for purchases and early access to exclusives, PowerUp Rewards Pro shoppers will be able to maximize their loyalty earnings during the month of October, the company said.

  • Lay’s issues last call for votes for 'Do Us A Flavor' contest

    Lay's has issued a last call for votes in its "Do Us a Flavor" contest. Since July 28, consumers have been putting the four finalist flavors — Lay's Cappuccino, Lay's Cheddar Bacon Mac & Cheese, Lay's Kettle Cooked Wasabi Ginger and Lay's Wavy Mango Salsa — to a nationwide taste test.

    Chosen from more than 14.4 million fan submissions gathered between January 13 and April 5, fan votes will decide which of the four finalist flavors should be named the winner and remain on store shelves after the contest ends.

    In the coming months, the companies will work together to provide WebMD’s virtual wellness-coaching programs directly to Walgreens customers. Walgreens will also incorporate WebMD content on a variety of health topics, co-branded by WebMD and Walgreens, into its digital experience and stores.
