Neiman Marcus taps former Guess exec for key role

Katie Anderson has been appointed executive VP and CFO of Neiman Marcus Group.

The Neiman Marcus Group has a new finance head.

The luxury retailer has named Katie Anderson executive VP and CFO, effective April 4. She succeeds Brandy Richardson, who left Neiman Marcus in November to join Tailored Brands.

Anderson joins the company from Guess Inc., where she has served as CFO since December 2019. Prior to that, she served as CFO of California Pizza Kitchen and Sprinkles Cupcakes. Anderson started her career in investment banking at Citigroup and then Moelis & Company.

Anderson joins Neiman Marcus as it continues to invest in digital-first, stores, data, technology and supply chain. She will be responsible for all financial functions at the company, as well as risk management, real estate and supply chain.

Anderson’s appointment further enhances Neiman Marcus’ reputation as a majority-women-led organization. Women represent the majority of the board of directors. They also represent more than 50% of leaders at the senior VP level and above, 59% of VPs and above, and 69% of all corporate and store employees.

"Katie's accomplished background and financial acumen will guide NMG as we deliver against our key priorities to make life extraordinary for our customers, luxury brand partners, and associates. I am confident that her experienced leadership in both public and private companies will be an asset to NMG as we evolve with a rapidly changing industry." 

Mark Weinsten had been serving as Neiman Marcus interim CFO. He will leave the company after a transition period with Anderson.
