Midwest fashion retailer Glik's engages customers across channels

Glik's is opening up omnichannel customer engagement.

A family-owned regional fashion chain with more than a century of history is unifying its customer experience at the point of sale.

Illinois-based Glik’s, which operates more than 70 stores across 11 Midwestern states, is implementing the cloud-based Aptos One POS and order management system solutions. Glik’s seeks to offer a more unified customer experience across physical and digital channels, achieve mobile POS capability, and simplify and centralize store operations management. 

Founded in 1897 and still operated by the Glik family, the retailer will deploy the Aptos One POS platform on iPads, replacing Windows-based registers at fixed till cash wraps. Beyond the fixed iPad setup, Glik’s will leverage Aptos One for mobile POS use cases such as in-store line busting and serving customers during sidewalk sales and pop-up events.

Other benefits Glik’s expects to obtain from deploying Aptos One include: 

  • Seamless omnichannel experiences: Glik’s will utilize integrated end-to-end order orchestration tools, enterprise-wide inventory visibility, streamlined endless aisle transactions and the ability to expand the online assortment to help create a seamless omnichannel shopping environment.
  • Empowered store associates: Glik’s store associates will have access to customer service tools including real-time inventory information, advanced omnichannel selling and fulfillment, and customer insights.
  • Simplified operations and faster upgrades: With cloud-based POS and order management solutions, Glik’s can manage configurations, deploy updates, gain real-time insights and scale performance from one central location without disruption to store operations.

Glik’s will seamlessly integrate the Aptos One POS and OMS solutions will with Aptos applications already in use at the retailer, including CRM, merchandising, warehouse management and sales audit.
