Meijer opens online and mobile vaccine access
A regional Midwest mass merchandise retailer is making recommended vaccinations easier to schedule.
Meijer is launching a new capability for customers to schedule vaccination appointments ahead of time, even before they are in the retailer's inventory. Customers can visit rx.meijer.com and set up appointments for the flu vaccine as well as immunizations including RSV, shingles, pneumonia and COVID-19, subject to age, eligibility and availability.
Meijer is also conducting vaccine clinics at workplaces, community organizations, and local groups through on-site clinics at no charge to the organization, with online request capability. In 2025, Meijer says it held more than 200 vaccine clinics across the Midwest and administered more than 7,000 vaccines through those efforts.
In addition, during the 2026 vaccination season, all eligible vaccine recipients, including Medicare members, can earn Meijer mPerks loyalty program points. Customers can manage their vaccination needs through the Meijer website, Meijer app, by texting "RX" to 75049, or by visiting a Meijer pharmacy.
"As families and communities prepare for a new school year and cold and flu season, Meijer Pharmacy is a trusted one-stop shop for the vaccines and resources they need to help protect themselves and the people around them," said Jackie Morse, group VP of health and pharmacy at Meijer. "With our new schedule-ahead feature, our trained pharmacists are ready to help patients plan well in advance, make informed decisions, and stay up to date on their health when it works best for them."
In January 2026, Meijer partnered with digital healthcare platform WellSync to provide customers with access to virtual healthcare services for common conditions.
