  • Dunkin’ Donuts plans six new stores in East Texas

    Canton, Mass. -- Dunkin' Brands, the parent company of Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, has signed a multi-unit store development agreement with new franchise group, BG&E Investments, to develop five Dunkin' Donuts restaurants and one Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin-Robbins combination location throughout East Texas. The first restaurant is planned to open in summer 2014, and the remainder by 2018.

  • Meijer expands digital shopping app

    Grand Rapids, Mich. -- Meijer has added features to its mPerks program that allows customers to store digital receipts from purchases in a single place and details exactly how much they've saved by shopping at the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based retailer. The new features are available for subscribers who enable the digital receipts option on their accounts and enter their mPerks ID each time at checkout.  

  • RadioShack opens second concept store in California March 22

    Fort Worth, Texas -- RadioShack will open the company's second California concept store in Sun Valley on March 22. This RadioShack had been in Sun Valley since the store opened in its original location in 1982.

    All concept stores in the company's portfolio feature an upgraded shopping experience, which showcases the company's new look. Concept store features include:

    • A speaker wall controlled by in-store tablets, empowering customers to experience a dozen different speakers.

  • Cabela’s to open Indy-area store in fall 2015

    Sidney, Neb. -- Cabela’s Incorporated plans to open a store in Noblesville, Ind., serving the greater Indianapolis area. Construction is scheduled to begin later in 2014 and the store is expected to open in fall 2015.

    The 80,000-sq.-ft. store will be located in the new Saxony Campus development adjacent to Hamilton Town Center. It will be Cabela’s second Indiana store, joining the Hammond location opened in 2007, and is expected to employ approximately 170 full-time and part-time employees.

  • Express on steroids, takes on Times Square

    Pop star Robin Thicke will help Express commemorate the grand opening of what promises to be a stunning 28,000-sq.-ft. flagship location in New York’s Times Square on March 25.

    The fashion forward operator of more than 600 predominantly mall-based stores is looking to make a splash with the Times Square location company chairman and CEO Michael Weiss billed as “Express on steroids.”

  • Lane Bryant to open new store in Georgia

    Columbus, Ohio – Lane Bryant is opening a new store in Kennesaw, Ga. The store will be located in Town Center at Cobb, right next to the store's previous location at the mall.

    The new store is slated to open March 21 and will have a grand opening celebration March 21-23.

  • Express opens Times Square store March 25

    New York -- Express Inc. is opening its largest location in Times Square, N.Y. on March 25. The Times Square store is located in the landmark I. Miller building distinguished by its marbled frame and statues of iconic actresses including Marilyn Miller and Mary Pickford.

    With more than 28,000 sq. ft., the location features imagery boxes, LED walls and screens, interactive iPads, mobile points-of-sale, and on-site charging stations to enhance the shopping experience.

  • Men’s Wearhouse launches omni-channel inventory visibility

    Fremont, Calif. -- Men's Wearhouse is launching its omni-channel inventory program, which gives customers visibility and access to all merchandise within the company's distribution center and its 900-plus retail locations from one location. Now, regardless of whether a customer is shopping in a single store or online, they can see all merchandise available to them throughout the company and pick up any item at the store of their choosing.
