  • Study: Millennial men are most proactive shoppers

    New York – Men are highly engaged shoppers, with 63% of men actively looking for in-store sales and 53% regularly using coupons, according to WSL’s “How America Shops: Men & Shopping Report.” The study also shows that 67% of Millennial men use mobile phones to shop, compared to 52% of Gen X men and 29% of Baby Boomer men.

  • Becker’s School Supplies relaunches e-commerce site

    Pennsauken, N.J. – Becker’s School Supplies has redeveloped and relaunched its e-commerce site on the WebLinc e-commerce platform.

    The WebLinc platform provides both front-end branding and back-end merchandising and management tools. Within months of launching its new site, Becker’s experienced a 120% jump in revenue compared to the same period last year and saw transaction volume increase by 81%.

  • Lands’ End seeks to make global e-commerce easier

    Dodgeville, Wis. -- Lands' End has launched an easier and more efficient online shopping experience for international customers. Customers can now view local pricing the same way they would if they were ordering from a local site.

    U.S. prices on landsend.com can be converted into more than 60 local currencies.

    In addition, all fees (duty, tax and shipping) will be displayed and included in the order total at checkout.

  • Macy’s is launch partner for Apple’s new streaming music service, iTunes Radio

    New York -- Macy’s announced that it is an exclusive launch partner for Apple’s new iAd-supported streaming radio service, iTunes Radio. In line with the retailer’s omnichannel strategy, Macy’s said the new service will allow it to reach a broad cross-section of consumers with compelling digital, visual and audio engagement experiences on their iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Apple TV, Mac or PC.

    New York – Saks Inc. plans to open seven new Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th stores in 2014: The Outlets at Bloomfield in Pearl, Miss.; Potomac Mills in Woodbridge, Va.; Palm Beach Outlets in West Palm Beach, Fla; Outlet Shoppes at Louisville/Lexington, Ky.; Twin Cities of Eagan in Minneapolis, Minn.; The Mayfair Collection in Mayfair, Wis.; and Easton Gateway in Columbus, Ohio.

  • Rue La La hires publishing exec as CMO

    Boston – Rue La La has appointed Robin Domeniconi as chief marketing officer overseeing the company's marketing and creative departments. Domeniconi will report to Steve Davis, CEO of Rue La La.

    Domeniconi previously served as chief brand officer for Elle Group, In addition, she has held the position of VP of advertising sales, marketing, and publishing at Microsoft as well as seven-year tenure at Time Inc. where she launched and published Real Simple magazine.
