  • Samsung unveils 2013 TV lineup

    Samsung Electronics America announced that its 2013 TVs will begin shipping this month in the United States, beginning with the LED 8000-series and the Plasma 8500-series.

  • DSW Q4 sales up 15.7%, expects weaker 2013

    COLUMBUS, Ohio — DSW reported that its fourth quarter sales increased 15.7% to $594.3 million from $513.7 million for the same period last year. Comparable sales increased 3.6%.

    The company reported that fourth quarter adjusted EPS rose to 69 cents per share, an increase of 35.3% per share.

    Full year sales increased 11.5% to $2.3 billion, and comparable sales increase 5.5%.

    Adjusted EPS for the year rose to $3.35 per share for the full year, up from $3.00 per share in 2011.

The study found the associate payroll was the most important factor in determining revenue. A mere additional dollar (properly applied) on labor could reap rewards of $4 to $28 in return.

     IBM scientists and business consultants will co-create with clients to deliver systems that learn and personalize the experiences of each individual customer, identify patterns, preferences and create context from Big Data, and drive scale economics. 

  • Urban Outfitters deploys PCSTrac’s next-generation inventory management tool

    Philadelphia -- PCSTrac, in partnership with Urban Outfitters, has launched the next generation of StoreTrac software,a web-based inventory control and management application for retail store operations.

    The enhanced application delivers a store-level snapshot of shipments by volume and category type, as well as key details such as SKU, style, item quantity, item description, and shipment history on forthcoming shipments.
