  • Clarabridge acquires Market Metrix

    Reston, Va. – Clarabridge, Inc., a provider of intelligent customer experience management (CEM) solutions, is acquiring Market Metrix, an enterprise feedback management platform in the leisure and hospitality industries. Market Metrix will complement and extend Clarabridge’s analytics and measurement-focused CEM offerings with the addition of a robust, results-oriented feedback management platform.

  • Euclid: March retail performance lags year-over-year

    Santa Barbara, Calif. – Shopper activity rebounded in March 2014 from the prior month, but traffic and engagement lagged compared to March 2013. In-store retail analytics provider Euclid, released its monthly retail benchmarks report to analyze shopper activity and behavior during the month of March, measuring data from tens of millions of domestic shopping sessions.

  • Wilson looks to score with digital basketball

    Wilson plans to introduce a sensor equipped basketball that can discern between made and missed shots and then feed information to a smartphone or tablet.

    Due for release later this year, the new product is the result of a partnership with SportIQ, a Finland-based company focused on artificial intelligence, and Wilson’s recently established digital division.

  • Dell lends support to digital disaster recovery

    The American Red Cross has enhanced its ability to respond to disasters with support from Dell to open a new digital operations center in north Texas.

    The Red Cross embraced social media in a big way in 2012 when it became apparent that Twitter, Facebook and other digital communication methods were the first place people turn when disasters strike. The relief organization opened the Red Cross Digital Operations Center roughly two years ago in Washington, D.C. with support from Dell and now the two are working together to open the north Texas location.

  • Tech vet joins pricing firm

    Former SAS executive Greg Soussloff has joined pricing intelligence and competitor monitoring solutions provider 360pi as vp of customer value.

    Soussloff spent the past 10 years with SAS and most recently served as senior sales director of retail and CPG and oversaw a 30 member national sales team. Prior to SAS, Soussloff served in diverse roles at several wholesale companies, including VF Corporation where he led the sales efforts for the mass channel in what was then the VF Knitwear division.

  • Survey: Payment card fraud rises in 2013

    Washington, D.C. -- Despite a slight decrease in corporate payments fraud and a heightened interest in security risks, 2013 saw an increase in fraud specific to credit and debit cards as criminals and their schemes became more sophisticated, according to the 2014 AFP Payments Fraud and Control Survey released by the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP).

  • Survey: Personalized post-purchase brand interactions important

    Jeffersonville, Ind. - The key to repeat customers is personalized communication from brands after purchases. According to a new survey of 1,000 U.S. consumers from multichannel customer engagement solutions provider Accent Marketing Services LLC, 86% of consumers say it’s important to have a positive experience after making a purchase.

    Key findings in the report also include:

    • Nearly half of consumers interact with brands after a purchase.
