  • Retail groups ask for tokenization in payment security

    Washington, D.C. – The National Retail Federation (NRF), Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA), Food Marketing Institute (FMI), Merchant Advisory Group, National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS), National Grocers Association, and National Restaurant Association (NRA) are jointly calling for an open and universal tokenization standard in the U.S. payments system.

  • Survey: More than half of online shoppers more conscious of security

    London -- Fifty-four percent of online shoppers feel that they are more conscious of their security online compared to 12 months ago, following a string of high-profile security breaches at various international retailers and brands. Of the 2,000 online consumers surveyed as part of EDigitalResearch's and IMRG's EcustomerServiceIndex, half (50%) felt that retailers should be doing more to keep them safe online, especially in the wake of yet more data and security breaches in 2014.

  • Study: Top retail websites getting slower

    New York -- Retail websites are getting slower … fast, according to a report by Radware, a provider of application delivery and application security solutions for virtual and cloud data centers. In just one year, median time to interact (TTI) has slowed down by 27% (from 4.9 seconds to 6.2 seconds), and median load time has suffered a 49% increase (from 7.2 seconds to 10.7 seconds).

  • Arrests made in StubHub fraud case

    San Francisco – StubHub, the online ticket resale platform operated by EBay, has reportedly been hacked by a global organized fraud ring. According to Reuters, cyber thieves obtained user credentials used on other sites and then used them to gain access to StubHub accounts and make fraudulent purchases.

  • Card.com adds IDology identity verification to mobile debit cards

    Atlanta - Card.com, a provider of mobile prepaid debit cards, is partnering with IDology, a vendor of technology solutions that verify an individual’s identity and deter fraud anywhere in the payments value chain. Card.com has integrated IDology’s real-time, on demand identity verification and fraud prevention solution into their Customer Identification Program (CIP) process in order to improve their customer approval cycle, streamlining customer onboarding while also preventing fraud.

  • Vaccine Center goes live on Springboard

    Las Vegas - The Vaccine Center And Travel Medicine Clinic is live on the Springboard Web-based retail platform and fully integrated with QuickBooks Online. Springboard Retail offers retailers an entirely Web-based retail management platform that is fully integrated with QuickBooks Online.

    This will allow The Vaccine Center And Travel Medicine Clinic to seamlessly share data between their POS and accounting software in real time.

     

  • ARTS releases compliance audit specification

    Washington, D.C. - The Association for Retail Technology Standards (ARTS), the standards and technology division of the National Retail Federation (NRF), has released the Compliance Audit Interchange. The CAI is a specification that allows organizations to share compliance audit results securely with other companies who source from the same supplier location.

  • Arba Retail Systems launches POS for Microsoft Surface Pro 3

    Naperville, Ill. – Arba Retail Systems has released a new mobile POS solution. Built specifically for Microsoft Surface tablet series, this retail management software is compatible with the latest Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Tablet.

    The retail version is designed for both single unit and chain stores. The software is built on the latest Microsoft technologies — .NET and MS SQL Server, and compatible with the Windows 8 OS.
