  • New appointments named at Quicksilver

    HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — Quiksilver has announced the appointments of Tom Hartge as global head of footwear and Kasey Mazzone as global head of supply chain. The additions to the team are part of a larger senior management reorganization, which includes Pierre Agnes, president of Quiksilver Europe, assuming the additional role as global head of apparel, and the company recruiting for a chief marketing officer position.

  • SRS Real Estate hires VP

    Dallas -- SRS Real Estate Partners said that Cody Persyn has been named VP of the company’s Houston office.

    Persyn will focus on disposition, investment sales, and land brokerage.

     

  • RevTrax offers protection for digital coupons

    NEW YORK — RevTrax, an enterprise promotion platform, has launched PromoVault, a promotions tool that enables marketers to securely execute e-commerce digital coupon campaigns across any channel or device. PromoVault addresses common challenges faced by retailers: the inability to generate and validate unique codes, and the subsequent rise of pirated offers.

  • Sembler reinvents Park 66 property

    St. Petersburg, Fla. -- The Sembler Co. announced Monday that it is redeveloping its Park 66 shopping center, located in St. Petersburg, Fla., and owned by the company since 1970.

    A Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market is being added to the property as part of the redevelopment – slated to open fall 2013 – and other tenants are being relocated.
     

  • Gap rocks out with Hendrix t-shirts

    SAN FRANCISCO — Gap is honoring the 70th birthday of Jimi Hendrix with the launch of two limited-edition t-shirt designs. The t-shirts feature art from the iconic musician's new album, People, Hell and Angels, which introduces previously unreleased studio recordings from 1969, the year Gap was founded in San Francisco.

  • Target to open three pilot stores in Canada on March 5

    Mississauga, Ontario -- Target announced that it is opening three pilot stores in Ontario on March 5 at Stone Road in Guelph, Milton Mall Shopping Centre in Milton and Gates of Fergus in Fergus. The three pilot stores are the first Target locations to open in Canada, and the first of 124 Target stores that will open across the country throughout 2013.
     

  • Supervalu announces divisional leadership changes

    Minneapolis -- Supervalu announced Monday that it will make sweeping changes among its executive ranks as part of a previously announced right-sizing program.

    Newly minted president and CEO Sam Duncan has named former Kroger VP Mark Van Buskirk as EVP merchandising and marketing for Supervalu, charged with oversight of retail merchandising and marketing.

    Former Albertsons executive Rob Woseth has been named EVP chief strategy officer, overseeing real estate and corporate development, as well as strategic growth opportunities.

  • Checkpoint Systems names new director

    THOROFARE, N.J. — Checkpoint Systems, a provider of shrink protection solutions, has named Marc Giles to its board of directors, effective immediately.

    Giles spent most of his career with industrial technology companies beginning in sales and marketing before expanding into management positions of increasing responsibility and global reach. In 2000, he was recruited by Gerber Scientific, Inc. to serve as president of its Gerber Technology division.
