  • La Perla Opens Boutique in Honolulu

    New York — La Perla has opened a new boutique in Honolulu at the Ala Moana Center. The official opening ceremony took place Friday morning.

    Founded in 1954, La Perla is an Italian-based brand marketing intimate apparel, swimwear and ready-to-wear.

     

  • Dunkin' Donuts to add eight units in Rochester, N.Y.

    Canton, Mass. -- Dunkin' Donuts said it will open eight new restaurants in Rochester, N.Y., via a multi-unit store development agreement executed with existing franchisee Luis Ribeiro.

    Ribeiro currently owns 25 of the 61 Dunkin' Donuts in the Greater Rochester area.  

    "We expect 10 to 20 new Dunkin' Donuts restaurants to open in Rochester over the next few years," said Grant Benson, VP franchising and business development, Dunkin' Brands.

    NEW YORK — Jordache has chosen supermodel, designer, entrepreneur and host of television’s Project Runway and America's Got Talent, Heidi Klum, as the face of its latest ad campaign.  

    Shot by photographer, director and longtime Klum collaborator, Rankin in Los Angeles, the commercial casts Klum as a pied piper who leads a suburban cast and a not so suburban cast to the beat of Bee Gees Stayin' Alive.  

  • E-commerce platform provider strengthens sales team

    MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Insite Software, a leading provider of B2B e-commerce platforms and shipping solutions, has appointed David Ricketts as its SVP of sales.

    Ricketts has more than 15 years of experience in software sales management, working with retailers, wholesalers, manufactures, distributors and consumer packaged goods companies to expand sales revenues via B2B and B2C e-commerce, omnichannel commerce and mobile, social and tablet commerce.

  • PriceSmart sales skyrocket in July

    San Diego – PriceSmart reported substantial increases in both net warehouse club sales and same-store warehouse club sales during July of this year as compared to July of last year. For the month of July 2013, net warehouse club sales increased 11.9% to $188.5 million, from $168.5 million in July a year earlier. There were 31 warehouse clubs in operation at the end of July 2013 and 29 warehouse clubs in operation at the end of July 2012.

  • Former Brooks Brothers exec to head The Limited

    COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Limited has appointed former Brooks Brothers executive Diane Ellis as the company’s CEO, effective August 26.

    Ellis was president and chief operating officer of Brooks Brothers for six years. She oversaw information technology, human resources, retail and outlet stores, planning and allocation, product development, sourcing, supply chain, e-commerce and finance.

  • Cabela’s uses mobile payments in loyalty promotion

    McLean, Va. – Cabela’s used mobile payment processing software from Sage Payment Solutions at seven recent Family Outdoor Days events for holders of its Cabela’s Club Visa card. Sage Mobile Payments was successfully deployed at the Dilliner, Pa., Berlin, Wis., Puyallup, Wash., and Billings, Mont. Family Outdoor Days on June 1, June 20, July 13 and July 27, respectively. The three remaining Family Outdoor Days events will occur in Prior Lake, Minn., on Aug. 10, Cedar Fort, Utah, on Aug. 24, and Kearney, Neb., on Sept. 28.
