  • Stuart Weitzman names CMO, announces other promotions

    NEW YORK — Luxury shoe retailer Stuart Weitzman has promoted Susan Duffy to chief marketing officer. Duffy, who joined the company in April 2011 as SVP global marketing and communications, will continue to lead marketing, advertising, public relations and social media to ensure the branding message is consistent across all worldwide communications platforms as the company expands into new markets.

  • Jones Lang LaSalle to lease and manage Houston County Galleria

    Centerville, Ga. -- Jones Lang LaSalle announced that Gemini Real Estate Advisors has awarded the firm the leasing and management of Houston County Galleria, a 483,893-sq.-ft. regional shopping center located in Centerville, Ga., and anchored by Belk, J.C. Penney and Sears.

    Jana Reeves will continue on as the center’s general manager, said Jones Lang LaSalle.
     

     

  • Orchard Supply names Overstock.com exec to marketing post

    San Jose, Calif. -- Orchard Supply Hardware Stores Corp. said Wednesday it has named Samantha Osselaer as VP marketing, effective Nov. 5.

    Osselaer was most recently senior director, creative and branding, for Overstock.com and has also served as a creative VP for both Smith & Hawken and Macy’s.

    As one of her duties, Osselaer will lead the branding and marketing of the chain’s new neighborhood store format that is currently being rolled out.

     

  • IIC-Intersport acquires 100% of The Athlete’s Foot

    Paris -- A Tuesday report by Women’s Wear Daily said that sporting goods retailer IIC-Intersport International Corp. will acquire 100% of The Athlete’s Foot, expanding Intersport’s presence to 63 countries from its current 41.

  • RioCan and Tanger to acquire two outlet malls in Montreal

    Greensboro, N.C. -- RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust and Tanger Factory Outlet Centers announced Tuesday they will acquire two outlet centers in the Montreal area.

    The pair will co-purchase Les Factoreries St. Sauveur and Bromont Outlet Mall for about $94.7 million Canadian dollars.

    RioCan will provide development and property management services and Tanger will provide leasing and marketing services.  The properties will be rebranded as Tanger Outlets.

    Both transactions are slated to close in November 2012.

  • Kirkland’s to open at Boulevard Crossing

    Kokomo, Ind. -- Indianapolis-based Kite Realty Group said that Kirkland’s will open a 6,400-sq.-ft. store at Boulevard Crossing, located in Kokomo, Ind.

    The 213,663-sq.-ft. shopping center is owned by Kite Kokomo Project Co. and is anchored by Kohl’s, Party City, Ulta, TJ Maxx, Petco, Shoe Carnival and Dress Barn.

     

  • Mid-America Real Estate-Wisconsin names new partners

    Milwaukee -- Mid-America Real Estate-Wisconsin announced the promotion of VPs Tony Colvin and Adam Dreier to principals.

    Colvin joined Mid-America Real Estate as a broker associate in January 2001 and, too date, has brokered over 1.2 million sq. ft. of retail space for a total transaction value of over $186 million.  Dreier has been with Mid-America Real Estate since February 2002 as a broker associate.  To date, he has brokered over 1 million sq. ft. of retail space, for a total transaction value of over $212 million.

     

  • CBL & Associates names leasing exec

    Chattanooga, Tenn. -- CBL & Associates Properties announced that Sally Cooney has joined the company as regional director of leasing, charged with overseeing the Cincinnati regional leasing team’s efforts and merchandising strategy.   

    Cooney most recently served as regional VP for General Growth Properties in its Atlanta regional office.
