  • Chico’s taps PTC for enterprise product lifecycle management

    Needham, Mass. -- PTC announced that Chico’s FAS has selected PTC Windchill FlexPLM product lifecycle management software to harmonize operations across category, brand, and departments.

    By choosing Windchill FlexPLM across all of its brands, including Chico’s, White House|Black Market and Soma Intimates, the company is demonstrating a commitment to increase operational and inventory efficiency and reduce development time and production cost.

  • Simon opens second Premium Outlet Center in South Korea

    Indianapolis -- Simon Property Group announced that, in partnership with Shinsegae, it has opened Paju Premium Outlets, its second Premium Outlet Center in South Korea.

    The 328,000-sq.-ft. center houses 160 stores, including international and domestic brands. Strategically located in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, the center is approximately 50 minutes northwest of downtown Seoul.

  • Walmart goes solar in Puerto Rico

    Bentonville, Ark. -- Walmart announced the deployment of five rooftop solar arrays for Walmart and Sam’s Club locations in Puerto Rico. The solar program is made possible through a solar energy service agreement where Sun Edison, a subsidiary of MEMC Electronic Materials, will design, deploy, operate and maintain over three megawatts of solar technologies across the five locations with no upfront costs to Walmart.

  • Five Guys Burgers and Fries to open at Overlake Fashion Plaza

    Redmond, Wash. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased restaurant space in Redmond, Wash., at Overlake Fashion Plaza to Five Guys Burgers and Fries.

    Five Guys has leased 2,475 sq. ft., and is slated to open for business this summer.

    The 80,555-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by Marshalls alongside national retailers such as Men’s Wearhouse, Payless Shoe Source, and Avenue.

  • Pine Tree Commercial Realty names exec

    Northbrook, Ill. -- Pine Tree Commercial Realty said that it has appointed Thomas Seurynck as VP acquisitions and due diligence.

    Seurynck was previously a senior investment associate and credit/underwriting manager for Wrightwood Capital in Illinois.
     

  • Cato income up in Q4, full year

    Charlotte, N.C. -- Cato Corp.'s fiscal fourth-quarter net income climbed 8% as revenue improved. The company earned $7.9 million, compared with $7.3 million a year earlier.

    Sales for the quarter ended January 29, 2011 were $224.3 million, a 3% increase over sales of $217.7 in the year-ago period. Same-store sales increased 1%.
