    NEW YORKUnilever’s Clear Scalp & Hair has tapped model Miranda Kerr to be the newest face — and hair — for Clear Scalp & Hair in the United States, giving her the title of the brand's first global brand ambassador.
     
    Debuting this month, Kerr will star in a national advertising campaign appearing on TV, in print and on digital properties.

    CHICAGO — Jewel-Osco president William Emmons is retiring less than a year after taking the helm at the grocery chain, which is now part of New Albertsons Inc., according to a Chicago Tribute report.

  • Easton’s Northampton Crossings now 100% leased

    Purchase, N.Y. — Visionworks has taken 3,100 sq. ft. at Northampton Crossings in Easton, Pa., bringing the property up to 100% leased, according to National Realty & Development Corp., the center’s owner.

    NRDC also noted that existing tenants Regis Hair Salon and Chrin’s Cleaners have extended their Northampton Crossings leases.

    A Wal-Mart Supercenter, Regal Cinemas, Sam’s Club and Hobby Lobby anchor the 622,000-sq.-ft. power-center.

  • Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores updates POS with NCR software and technology

    Duluth, Ga. -- Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores has selected NCR Corp. to install NCR point-of-sale software and technology in its more than 300 locations across 39 states.

    Traditionally, Love’s has replaced a quarter of their POS devices each year. But the retailer decided a complete refresh of 1,800 devices to solid state technology with greater processing power and screen size, gives them an immediate ability to create a better customer experience across their footprint.

  • Study: Scalability across channels critical factor in retail growth

    King of Prussia, Pa. -- Rigid technology can be a prohibitor in omnichannel growth, especially for mid-market retailers, according to a new study by eBay Enterprise. The report, 2014 Omnichannel Benchmark Study, found that that mid-sized retailers are behind their larger competitors in implementing omnichannel experiences and inflexible technology is the biggest factor in prohibiting retailer maturity and growth.
