  • Columbia Sportswear names Mexx exec as senior VP, retail

    New York -- Columbia Sportswear Company has appointed Shawn Cox as senior VP of retail, a newly created position that will report directly to president and CEO Tim Boyle. In his new role, Cox, 49, will be responsible for leading the company’s brick-and-mortar retail and e-commerce operations in the U.S., Europe and Canada.


  • Cache names marketing chief

    New York -- Cache said Monday that it has appointed Arnold Cohen as executive VP/chief marketing officer for the women’s apparel chain.

    Cohen’s background includes eight years with American Eagle Outfitters, where he was involved in creating the first mobile concept, the early iteration of Martin and Osa, and the back-on-campus initiative that rolled out to 50 colleges.

     

  • FlashPark technology unveiled at The Grove

    Los Angeles -- Shopping center owner Caruso Affiliated said Monday that it has launched a new parking technology, FlashPark, at The Grove retail and lifestyle destination in Los Angeles.

    The technology allows smartphone users two free hours of parking and eliminates paper tickets and cash.

  • Supply chain exec departs Family Dollar

    Matthews, S.C. -- Family Dollar Stores said Monday that Charles S. Gibson, executive VP – supply chain, will leave the company to pursue other interests, effective April 30.
     
    “Charlie has overseen the growth and development of our supply chain network and has been a valued part of our team,” said Howard R. Levine, Family Dollar CEO. “We appreciate the contributions Charlie has made to the company’s success, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

  • Trademark Property names chief development officer

    Fort Worth, Texas -- Trademark Property announced that Tony Chron has rejoined the company as chief development officer, effective April 15.

    “Bringing Tony back is an important investment in our development capacity,” said Trademark chairman-CEO Terry Montesi. Chron will oversee Trademark’s power and community center development program as well as the company’s redevelopment efforts.
     

  • Jones Lang LaSalle names Midwest team additions

    Chicago -- Jones Lang LaSalle announced the addition of Larry Kilduff, Claire Bitautas and Anne Imming to its retail team.

    Kilduff will serve as a VP and the retail management lead in the Midwest. Bitautas and Imming will serve as VPs on the brokerage team focusing on the downtown and suburban Chicago market. In their new roles they will partner with Midwest retail market lead Mark Hunter.

  • Petco to open at Hamilton Plaza

    Hamilton Township, N.J. -- North Plainfield, N.J.-based Levin Management Corp. said that Petco will open a store at Hamilton Plaza, located in Hamilton Township, N.J.

    The pet supply retailer leased 13,640 sq. ft. at the 175,515-sq.-ft. center which is anchored by ShopRite and A.C. Moore. Other tenants include Sleepy’s, Dollar Tree, Hallmark, New Wave Wireless, Moe’s Southwest Grill and Texas Roadhouse.
