  • Shoppes at Chino Hills to add two new restaurants

    Chino Hills, Calif. -- The Shoppes at Chino Hills announced that it is adding Dillon’s Irish Pub & Grill, along with Dripp coffee boutique and ice shop, to its tenant lineup.

    The new restaurants join P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Chipotle Mexican Grill, California Pizza Kitchen, Yard House and Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill at the shopping center.

  • B&N brings "Nick" to Nook

    NEW YORK -- Barnes & Noble has announced a partnership with Nickelodeon that will bring the first-ever digital books from the number-one entertainment brand for kids. The books will feature such Nickelodeon characters as SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer available in digital format through the Nook Color Reader’s Tablet (www.nookcolor.com) and the free Nook Kids for iPad application (www.nookkids.com/ipad and www.itunes.com/appstore).

  • Charming Shoppes posts Q4 loss, names CEO

    Bensalem, Pa. -- Charming Shoppes said Thursday it recorded a net loss on a GAAP basis of $30.4 million for the quarter ended Jan. 29, compared with a loss of $28 million a year earlier. The company also announced the announced the appointment of Anthony M. Romano, COO and acting CEO, as president and CEO.

    BENSALEM, Pa.  -- Charming Shoppes has announced the appointment of Anthony Romano as the company's president and CEO and a member of the company's board of directors, and the appointment of Brian Woolf as group president Lane Bryant, effective immediately.  

  • Alliance Data’s LoyaltyOne business signs agreement with The Children’s Place

    Dallas -- Alliance Data Systems Corp., a provider of loyalty and marketing solutions derived from transaction-rich, announced that its Canadian coalition loyalty business has signed a national agreement with The Children's Place Retail Stores.

    The agreement provides for The Children's Place to participate as a national sponsor in the Canadian Air Miles Reward Program and issue reward miles across Canada. Previously, The Children's Place launched a seven-month Air Miles pilot initiative in Alberta and British Columbia.

  • Report: FAO Schwarz looks to extend Fifth Avenue lease

    New York City -- FAO Schwarz is seeking to extend the lease for its flagship store in Manhattan, almost three years after the landlord Boston Properties said the retailer would likely have to leave, Bloomberg reported. The store is located in the General Motors Building, on Fifth Avenue at the corner of 58th Street.

  • Nordstrom completes acquisition of HauteLook

    Seattle – Nordstrom said Thursday it has completed its acquisition of online private sale marketplace HauteLook, effective March 23.

    Nordstrom said the acquisition will enable it to participate in the fast-growing private sale marketplace and provide a platform to increase innovation and speed in the way it serves customers in all channels.
