New York— Robert Graham has announced a new lease agreement to open its first New York City store on Bleecker Street this fall. The West Village Bleecker Street fashion corridor houses Burberry, Brunello Cucinelli, Marc Jacobs, rag & bone, and Ralph Lauren.

Robert Graham currently operates six freestanding stores across the country. They are located in Los Angeles, Houston, Las Vegas, Boca Raton, Fla., Long Island, N.Y., and Short Hills, N.J.

Old Bridge, N.J. — Dollar Tree has retained R.J. Brunelli & Co. as exclusive leasing agent for all of New Jersey, adding areas south of Route 195 to the northern and central parts of the state that the firm has been handling all along.

PHILADELPHIA — Five Below saw solid performance across most of its categories, resulting in a comparable store sales increase of 6.6% for the second quarter ended Aug. 3 and net sales of $117.1 million, a 34.9% jump from $86.8 million in the prior-year quarter.

The company opened 18 new stores and ended the quarter with 276 stores in 19 states. This represents an increase in stores of 22% from the end of the second quarter of fiscal 2012.

Littleton, Mass. – Dover Saddlery Retail plans to open its first store in Florida next month. Located in Winter Park, just north of Orlando, the new Dover Saddlery store will offer the retailer’s full line of equestrian products as well as in-store services such as a saddle demo program and custom boot and coat fittings.

"We are excited to open our first store in Florida and join the equestrian community of Winter Park and the surrounding areas," said Ken Cavanaugh, director of retail at Dover Saddlery.

CARLISLE, Pa. — Giant Food of Landover, Md., division president Anthony Hucker has resigned his position. His last day will be Sept. 13, according to parent company Ahold USA.

Ahold USA said Hucker was leaving to pursue another opportunity. Ahold USA EVP operations Bhavdeep Singh will oversee the Giant-Landover division on an interim basis until a permanent replacement is named.

Hucker was appointed president of Giant-Landover on Sept. 13, 2011, having previously worked at Walmart.

New York -- Despite their love of the internet, Generation Y shoppers remain loyal brick-and-mortar shoppers, according to survey results by the Urban Land Institute. One caveat, however, is that the physical shopping experience must be exciting.
