  • A&G Realty brings on two partners

    Melville, N.Y. -- Commercial real estate consulting, advisory and investment group A&G Realty Partners announced that Peter Lynch and Andrew Margolick have joined the firm as partners.

    Lynch joins A&G from DJM Realty, where he was a principal and senior managing director, and Margolick was president of his own firm, ARM Consulting, as well as a former VP at Hilco Real Estate.

  • New merchants join South Hill Mall

    Puyallup, Wash. -- Youngstown, Ohio-based Cafaro Co. said that Torrid, Aveda, Burger Bliss and Mr. Jalapeno will open at South Hill Mall – in Puyallup, Wash. – between now and October 2012.

    Torrid will open on Aug. 8 in a 2,600-sq.-ft. space, Aveda will open in 875 sq. ft. in October, and Burger Bliss and Mr. Jalapeno will open in the mall’s Food Court.

    The 1 million-sq.-ft. mall is anchored by Target, Macy’s, J.C. Penney, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Sears and Regal Cinemas.
     

  • Asda distribution deal major win for Polaroid brand

    The Polaroid company may have went through its share of financial difficulties, but there is plenty of equity left in the brand name and Walmart’s Asda unit is looking to capitalize on it this month with a new line of consumer electronics.

    Asda this week began offering an exclusive range of CE items including televisions, media players and audio equipment under the Polaroid brand.

  • JCPenney gets a 'Joe Fresh' look

    PLANO, Texas — JCPenney is boosting its store-in-store offerings by adding 700 Joe Fresh in-store boutiques to its department stores in April 2013.

    Joe Fresh, which is a Canadaian fast-fashion brand, will also be featured on JCP.com.

    GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. — Dollar General is showing its support for education with a new scholarship and education program for its 90,000 employees and their families.

  • Chase Properties acquires Williams Crossing shopping center

    Bedford, Ind. -- Beachwood, Ohio-based Chase Properties said it has acquired Williams Crossing in Bedford, Ind., from Horne Properties.

    Williams Crossing is a 50,000-sq.-ft. shopping center that is shadow-anchored by a Super Walmart. Other tenants in the center include Dollar Tree, Maurices, Shoe Show and Hibbett Sports. Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale.
     

  • Colorado Mills names marketing director

    Lakewood, Colo. -- Outlet and value shopping center Colorado Mills announced the hiring of Deborah Celaya as director of marketing and business development.

    In her new role, Celaya will be responsible for strategic marketing, business development, public relations, tenant relations, guest services and tourism.

    Celaya most recently held a senior executive position at Race Partners, and has previously served as group VP for General Growth Properties.
