  • Macy's gets cozy with Martha Stewart for new mattress line

    NEW YORK  -- Macy's announced the launch of "Martha Stewart Collection by Serta," a mattress line available exclusively at Macy's. 

  • Report: Men’s Wearhouse to remodel 100 plus stores in 2011

    New York City -- Men’s Wearhouse will remodel more than 100 stores and open 20 to 30 new locations this year, Women’s Wear Daily reported.

    This marks a big increase from last year, when 35 stores were remodeled, the report said.

  • Michaels, chiropractor to open at Richmond Centre

    Richmond, Ky. -- Charlotte, N.C.-based Crosland LLC announced two new lease signings with Michaels and Chiro One at Richmond Centre, a regional shopping, entertainment and hospitality venue in Richmond, Ky.

    Michaels will open a 20,011-sq.-ft. store as a junior anchor tenant in October.

    Chiro One opened a 2,127-sq.-ft. clinic in February.

  • Ulta to open at Red Oak Village

    San Marcos, Texas -- The Commercial Retail Division of The Weitzman Group said that Ulta has leased 14,798 sq. ft. of retail space in Red Oak Village, a power retail center located near Austin, Texas.

    At Red Oak Village, Ulta joins a line-up that includes Sam’s Club, Bed Bath & Beyond, Marshalls, Best Buy, PetSmart, Ross Dress for Less and other retailers and restaurants.

  • Additions planned for Legends Outlets Kansas City

    Kansas City, Kan. -- OTB Destination, LLC announced that Chico’s and Soma Intimates outlet concepts will open at Legends Outlets Kansas City in June. Both concepts are new to the region.

  • Pen Centre to undergo $13 million renovation

    Niagara, Ontario -- Niagara’s largest shopping center has launched a $13 million renovation featuring an environmentally- and shopper-friendly redesign inspired by Niagara’s vineyards, parks, gardens and trails.

    “The design focus of the renovation will meet the Canada Green Building Council LEED-CI designation,” said Pen Centre manager John Bragagnolo. “Our aim is to ensure that the shopping center provides the best shopping experience with the least environmental impact possible.”

  • Five Guys Burgers and Fries to open at Overlake Fashion Plaza

    Redmond, Wash. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased restaurant space in Redmond, Wash., at Overlake Fashion Plaza to Five Guys Burgers and Fries.

    Five Guys has leased 2,475 sq. ft., and is slated to open for business this summer.

    The 80,555-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by Marshalls alongside national retailers such as Men’s Wearhouse, Payless Shoe Source, and Avenue.

  • Nordstrom to build new store at The Americana at Brand

    Glendale, Calif. -- Nordstrom and Caruso Affiliated jointly announced today an agreement to relocate the Nordstrom full-line store and build a new store at Caruso Affiliated's The Americana at Brand in downtown Glendale, Calif.

    The new three-level, 135,000-sq.-ft. is expected to open in fall 2013 and will be part of the expansion of The Americana at Brand. Nordstrom will continue serving customers at its current Glendale Galleria store, located next to The Americana at Brand, until the new store opens.

  • Stone Market makes U.S. retail debut

    Hollywood, Calif. -- International gem designer, manufacturer and retailer, Stone Market has opened its first U.S. location, at Hollywood & Highland Center, Hollywood, Calif.

    The 319-sq.-ft. shop offers a collection of stylish jewelry, featuring gem and natural stones and silver accessories. Stone Market operates more than 100 retail outlets in Japan.

  • Guess Q4 profit up 19%

    Los Angeles -- Guess said Wednesday that its fourth-quarter net income rose 19% on a boost in sales in Europe, Asia and North America.

    Guess said it earned $103.3 million, compared with profit of $86.6 million, or 93 cents per share, during the same period a year prior.

    Revenue rose 18% to $756.9 million from $642 million. The results beat the expectations of analysts.
