  • La-Z-Boy to buy two franchise La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in Ohio

    Monroe, Mich. – La-Z-Boy Inc. intends to acquire two La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries stores located in the Youngstown, Ohio, market, with combined revenue of approximately $6.5 million. The stores are located in Boardman and Howland, Ohio, and are owned and operated by independent dealers who are retiring.  

  • Divaris signs three leases in Central Va.

    Richmond, Va. — Divaris Real Estate has announced the renewal of three retail leases totaling approximately 9.000 sq. ft. in the Richmond metropolitan area.

    Legacy School of Dance signed a lease for 3,813 sq. ft. of retail space in Colony Plaza in Midlothian, Va. This is the second Richmond area location for the dance studio. Divaris represented the landlord, Colony Crossing. Legacy joins Dolce Vita Restaurant, Best Cleaners, Colony Coffee, Native Sun Tanning, Padows Deli, Fortune Bowl Restaurant and Nail Envy.

  • L Brands prices $500 million in senior notes

    Columbus, Ohio - The previously announced offering of $500 million aggregate principal amount of unsecured senior notes due 2023 from L Brands (formerly knows as Limited Brands) has priced at 100% of the aggregate principal amount with a coupon of 5.625%. The sale of the 2023 notes was underwritten by BofA Merrill Lynch, Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC as joint book-running managers.

  • Cafaro signs Five Below, Hot Head Burrito, Carter’s

    New York -- Five Below will debut in two Cafaro malls next summer. The three-million-sq.-ft. Eastwood Mall Complex in Niles, Ohio, will welcome a 9,300-sq.-ft. Five Below. The two-million-sq.-ft. Millcreek Mall Complex in Erie, Pa. will get an 8,700-sq.-ft. store in the Millcreek Pavilion.

    Hot Head Burrito will also open a 2,000-sq.-ft. location, now under construction, at Eastwood Mall. A young chain, Hot Head Burrito operates more than 50 restaurants in six states.

  • RKF arranges three NYC leases for Carlo Pazolini

    New York — RKF has arranged three long-term leases, totaling 13,055 sq. ft., in Manhattan for Carlo Pazolini, the European shoe and accessories brand. RKF represented Carlo Pazolini in each transaction.

    The first store is in the Meatpacking District at 410 West 14th Street and spans 5,000 sq. ft., with 2,500 sq. ft. on the ground floor and another 2,500 sq. ft. in the basement. The location has opened for business. RKF represented the landlord Amcojor Realty Corp.

  • Sears to hold first-ever Canadian Thanksgiving Black Friday sale

    Sears Canada is getting ready to introduce the first-ever Black Friday sale in Canada to accompany Canadian Thanksgiving in October.

    "Our customers already participate in our Black Friday sale in November so we wanted to give them one that, in a similar style to the U.S., would accompany our own Thanksgiving Holiday," said Doug Campbell, president and CEO, Sears Canada. "With the variety of sales being offered in stores and online they can pick up new home essentials or even get a head start on their Holiday shopping."

  • Lord & Taylor opens in Boca Raton, Fla.

    New York -- Lord & Taylor, a division of Hudson’s Bay Company, has opened a store at Mizner Park, an open-air, mixed-use center in downtown Boca Raton, Fla. The two-level, 80,000-sq.-ft. store store marks the retailer’s return to the Sunshine State.

    The new store features the company’s latest store design, which emulates a classic style but with a new, updated twist. A sense of glamour permeates the space, seen in such details as chandeliers imported from Italy and 300 mannequins that showcase strong fashion statements.
