  • Amazon makes 2.5 million-plus price changes on a daily basis

    New York -- Amazon.com made more than 2.5 million price changes a day throughout November, according to price intelligence firm Profitero. By comparison, in November, Best Buy implemented a total of 52,956 price changes every day and Walmart a total of 54,633 price changes.

    Profitero’s analysis revealed that Amazon.com has increased its number of daily price changes 10-fold during the last 12 months. At the beginning of December 2012, the online retailer implemented just 269,113 price changes.

    New York — The annual ICSC U.S. Design and Development Awards competition focuses on four general categories: Innovative Design and Construction of a New Project; Renovation or Expansion of an Existing Project; Sustainable Design; and Retail Store Design.

    The 2013 gold winners in the New Development category are City Creek Center, Salt Lake City, and Mosaic District, Fairfax, Va.

    In the Renovations and Expansions, the silver winner is: Cross County Shopping Center, Yonkers, N.Y.

  • Newegg Marketplace starts holiday shopping season right

    Newegg, a leading electronics-focused e-retailer in the United States, is leveraging its record-breaking Black November sales for its Marketplace Division to drive additional sales this holiday season.

    Newegg Marketplace reported sales of 109% year-over-year, making this the second consecutive year of triple-digit growth.

    Newegg has also added Cooking.com, eBags.com, Griffin Technology, Overstock.com, Samy's Camera, Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us to its Marketplace this year.

  • Devonshire buys Great Lakes in Mentor, Ohio

    Whitehouse, Ohio — Devonshire REIT has announced the closing of its acquisition of the Great Lakes Plaza shopping center in Mentor, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. Michaels and hhgregg co-anchor the center, which is 100% leased.

    Devonshire bought the 81,349-sq.-ft. center from Simon Property Group for $8 million. Goldman Sachs Mortgage Company provided financing.
