  • Macy’s help customers protect digital privates

    Consumers looking to keep a tight grip on their most private possessions may want to check out a new high-tech collection launching at Macy's.

    The store will be selling Royce Leather handbags, wallets and briefcases integrated with fingerprint technology, RFID blocking technology, and GPS technology. In particular, the Royce Leather Freedom Briefcase will be the world's first security bag with DNA-based fingerprint technology. The briefcase enables a single user to access the bag, demonstrating the ultimate in personal and travel security.

Redscout helped Rent the Runway combine the two main focuses of the business, technology and fashion, into one synergistic and thoughtful vision across its online, mobile and brick-and-mortar platforms.  
  • Bebe names Wiggett permanent CEO

    Brisbane, Calif. – Bebe Stores Inc. has named Jim Wiggett, who has been serving as interim CEO since June 2014, as permanent CEO and member of the board of directors. Wiggett is a 40-year retail and business veteran.  
  • Canada Post – Cyber Week deliveries rise

    Ottawa, Canada – The U.S. retail tradition of ‘Cyber Week’ is spreading north. New data based on parcel volumes compiled by Canadian mail service Canada Post show that e-commerce shipments as a result of Cyber Week this year have doubled since 2012.  
  • Simon to open Tampa Premium Outlets Oct. 2015

    Indianapolis – Simon  has broken ground on Tampa Premium Outlets in Wesley Chapel, Florida. Opening in October 2015, the multi-million dollar project will bring a diverse mix of more than 110 retailers with 441,000-sq.-ft. of leasable space. It will also include  a  a food pavilion with multiple dining options.
