  • Men’s Wearhouse Q3 profit plunges 82% on Jos. A. Bank costs

    Fremont, Calif. – Men's Wearhouse Inc.'s third-quarter profit plunged 82%, mainly on expenses related to its June 2014 acquisition of rival Jos. A. Bank Clothiers Inc.      The retailer reported a profit $6.8 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2014, from $38.2 million in the year-ago-period and below Wall Street projections.

    Wet Seal may file for bankruptcy protection if it fails to immediately resolve its liquidity issues, the company said.

  • Wells Fargo celebrates grand opening at 120 Ninth Avenue

    New York - Stonehenge Partners announced that Wells Fargo has officially opened its 1,375-sq.-ft. space at 120 Ninth Avenue. Wells Fargo is the first tenant to take occupancy at the retail property, which offers almost an entire block of frontage on 9th Avenue between 17th and 18th streets.  
  • Cabela’s to build store in Farmington, Utah

    SIDNEY, Neb. - Cabela’s Inc. announced today plans to open a 72,000-sq.-ft. store in Farmington, Utah.  Construction is scheduled to begin in 2015, and Cabela’s anticipates a spring 2016.   The store will be located in the newly planned Park Lane Commons development adjacent to Station Park on the west side of Interstate   
  • Wet Seal considers bankruptcy as Q3 loss widens; closing 60 stores as leases expire

    Foothill Ranch, Calif. -  The troubles keep mounting for teen retailer Wet Seal Inc., which reported a wider loss for the third quarter amid lower revenues and fees related to its exit from its former Arden B business.  The retailer posted a loss of $35.9 million in the quarter emded Nov.1, up from a loss of $12.5  million the previous fiscal year.    
  • Phillips Edison acquires Kroger-anchored center near Atlanta

    Cincinnati - Phillips Edison Grocery Center REIT II announced the acquisition of Spivey Junction, an 81,475-sq.-ft. grocery store-anchored shopping center in Stockbridge, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.   Spivey Junction is anchored by Kroger, and features a fuel center. Other national and regional tenants at the center include Great Clips, Workout Anytime, Domino's Pizza, Subway, Goodwill and Miracle Ear.

    A trio of top executives at The Buckle were elevated to new roles at the 463 store specialty retailer.

    Kelli Molczyk, with the retailer since 1999, was named Vice President of Women’s Merchandising after most recently serving as Divisional Merchandise Manager. Prior to that she held a variety of roles with the company in which she was instrumental in design and marketing efforts.
