  • Nordstrom tops off fashion offering with Topshop

    NEW YORK — The popular British fashion brand Topshop, which has flagship stores in New York, Chicago and Las Vegas, is making its mass retail debut in the United States at Nordstrom this fall.

    Beginning Sept. 10, 14 Nordstrom stores will carry an assortment of Topshop and Topman merchandiese. Items will also be available online, making it the only large U.S. retailer to do so.

  • Crazy 8 to open at Discover Mills this fall

    Lawrenceville, Ga. – Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group said that Crazy 8 will open a store at its Discover Mills property, Atlanta’s largest outlet, value retail and entertainment destination.

    Gymboree Corp.’s Crazy 8, slated to open this fall, will join newly announced tenant Old Navy Outlet at the center.

    Discover Mills features more than 180 retailers, as well as four full-service restaurants and entertainment venues.
     

  • Half Price Books to open at Fayette Place

    Lexington, Ky. – Tarrytown, N.Y.-based DLC Management Corp. sad that Half Price Books will open a new store at Fayette Place, located in Lexington, Ky.

    The 8,976-sq.-ft. junior anchor will join Marshalls, Shoe Carnival, Pier1 Imports, Outback Steakhouse and Dollar Tree in the neighborhood shopping center.

    It will be the second Half Price Books location in the Lexington community.
     

  • Four new retailers to open at Southpark at Cinco Ranch

    Houston – Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased retail space in Houston to four new merchants at Southpark at Cinco Ranch, a 203,000-sq.-ft. ground-up development in Fort Bend County.

    Construction began in February on the neighborhood center, which has anchor openings scheduled for December 2012 and is 84% preleased.

  • Wolverine Worldwide on track with key acquisition from Collective Brands

    ROCKFORD, Mich. — Wolverine Worldwide reported slight revenue growth as it looks to build its portfolio with the acquisition of the Performance and Lifestyle Group from Collective Brands.

    Wolverine Worldwide reported quarterly revenue of $312.7 million, an increase of 0.8% compared with the prior year's second quarter when revenue grew over 20%. 

    Reported diluted earnings per share in the quarter were 42 cents, compared with prior year's earnings per share of 48 cents.

  • REI to make Kansas debut with store in Overland Park

    Seattle -- REI (Recreational Equipment, Inc.) said Tuesday it will make its state debut in Kansas in fall 2013, with a new store in Overland Park, Kan., a suburb of Kansas City.

    The 23,500-sq.-ft. REI Overland Park will be located at Prairiefire at Lionsgate. Approximately 50-60 new hires are planned.
