  • Hollister launches new online product with Keds

    New Albany, Ohio -- Hollister Co. is partnering with Keds to release an exclusive line that features signature Hollister patterns on Keds sneakers. Beginning Aug. 15, the exclusive Hollister + Keds sneakers will be available only at HollisterCo.com, but customers can view a display inside Hollister stores to see the new patterns.

    NEW ALBANY, Ohio — Hollister Co., a division of Abercrombie & Fitch Co., is partnering with Keds, a division of Wolverine Worldwide, to release an exclusive line that features signature Hollister patterns on Keds-brand sneakers. 

    The exclusive Hollister + Keds sneakers will be available only at HollisterCo.com, but will be on display inside Hollister stores so shoppers can get a closer look.

  • Sport Chalet sets sights on runners

    LOS ANGELES — Specialty sporting goods retailer Sport Chalet is touting its services and assorted selection of brands to runners. 

    The retailer is reminding runners that it offers “extensive online show advice” to accurately fit athletes with the correct running shoe, not to mention a selection of brands which include Adidas, Asics, Brooks, New Balance, Nike, Reebok and Saucony. The retailer also offers custom in-store gait assessments.

  • Mayfair Collection signs Off 5th, Old Navy and Carter’s

    Chicago — Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, Old Navy and Carter’s have inked leases for space at The Mayfair Collection, a 270,000-sq.-ft. shopping center in Wauwatosa, Wis. Nordstrom Rack, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Ulta Beauty have also made lease commitments to the project.

    HSA Commercial Real Estate, the developer, broke ground on the project in April. HSA Commercial is adaptively repurposing an obsolete warehouse development into The Mayfair Collection retail shopping center.

     

  • Shoe Carnival, Five Below select Ecova for utility expense, data management services

    Spokane, Wash. -- Ecova, a total energy and sustainability management company, has been selected by specialty retailers Shoe Carnival and Five Below to provide utility expense and data management services. Ecova will assist the chains in monitoring, understanding and reducing energy across their portfolios.

    LOS ALTOS, Calif. — Catalog Spree, a personal digital mall that lets consumers browse and shop their favorite catalogs, has expanded the men’s section of its mobile app to include lookbooks featuring Kenneth Cole, Original Penguin, Perry Ellis and Thomas Pink. 

  • Stein Mart reports increases in total, same-store sales during Q2

    Jacksonville, Fla. – Stein Mart reported year-over-year increases in total and same-store sales during the second quarter of fiscal 2013. Total sales grew 3.8% to $74.6 million from $70.5 million, while same-store sales increased 6.4%, compared to same-store sales growth of only 1.6% during the second quarter of the previous year.

  • Stein Mart ‘pleased’ with Q2 results

    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Strong sales in linens, dresses and intimate apparel buoyed Stein Mart’s total sales for the second quarter ended August 3, which increased 3.8% to $290.9 million from $280.4 million for the same quarter last year. 

    The company posted a comparable-store sales increase of 6.4% for the quarter.
